Spain's Great Match: Join us for the 30th Anniversary
It’s been 30 years since Spain’s first Great Match in NYC – and we’re planning our biggest celebration ever to mark the occasion! Join over 50 food, wine and spirits producers for the liveliest trade event of the season, including expert wine seminars, regional gastronomy pairings, and a Discovery Zone to taste and savor all the latest products.
Exclusively for trade and media, ICEX/Foods and Wines from Spain is pleased to present the 30th Anniversary of Spain’s Great Match, a full-day event organized by Trade Commission of Spain in New York. Spanish flavors take center stage in an interactive format devoted to wine and culinary education, guided tasting and one-on-one networking. Sign up early to reserve your seat for a masterclass and wine tasting led by our expert team. This year’s line-up includes a sparkling intensive on D.O. Cava led by Mary Gorman-McAdams, Master of Wine, showcasing the new Cava stamp of Cava de Guarda Superior y Elaborador Integral; an exploration of the authentic charms of D.O. Navarra with author Jeff Jenssen; and speed dating with the latest from Castilla y León, led by Evan Goldstein, Master Sommelier.
Wine Tastings and Culinary Workshops

Tierra de Castilla, Penedés, Conca de Barberá, Vinos de La Cerdanya (Catalan Pyrenees) and Cádiz. Food delicacies such as escargots from Murcia; lamb chops from I.G.P Castilla y León; Manzanilla and Hojiblanca olives from Sevilla; and a selection of almond products from Valencia will also be part of the Discovery Zone providing a unique context in which US importers/distributors and foodies can learn, taste and enjoy a selection of these new-to-market wines and food from Spain.
30 years ago, U.S. Chefs and sommeliers were among the first champions of Spanish gastronomy. True to our heritage, Spain’s Great Match will be held on October 1 at Mercado Little Spain in the heart of NYC, the ultimate epicurean adventure, created by José Andrés and the Adrià brothers as an “all-day destination for the very best of Spain’s food, drink, and culture.” Salud!
